This session of The DJ Podcast LIVE is different from our previous streams. Instead of focusing on creating a track in Maschine, I started working on something that will hopefully be featured in a future video. The idea was to visualize how parallel waveforms would look in Traktor Pro 2. This feature has been requested for years, but has never been implemented. I tried my best to come up with one way that they may look if implemented.

Maschine Tutorial: How to Timestretch Samples

Today is the final day of The Month of Maschine 2013. In this video we’ll be looking at Maschine’s timestretching capabilities. Timstretching was added in the 1.8 update and allows you to change the BPM of a sample. For example, you may want to use timestretching if you created a pattern using one of Maschine’s drum kits and want to add a drum loop sample that is at a different BPM.

VLOG: Warping in Ableton Live is Hard & Remembering Warpsauce

In 2009 a website called Warpsauce tried to deal with the time-consuming part by allowing users to share their warp files. In this VLOG, I share my thoughts on warping in Ableton Live, Warpsauce, and a movement to elevate Live’s status within the Digital DJ community.
